You may have often heard about recycling paper or wood but here’s something that most people are unaware of. Yes, electric bulbs can also be recycled into decorative products or various other useful things. You don’t have to throw away fused electric bulbs, instead, use our DIY methods for recycling them into innovative decoration pieces.
(1) DIY Bulb flower piece:
You can create a flower piece/decorative piece out of a non-working electric bulb. Pluck out the black point at the bottom of the bulb. Now turn the bulb upside down, fill it half with water. Put in a flower with its stem inside the bulb and the petals on the outside. Here’s a unique DIY recycled bulb flower piece.
(2) Artificial Oil Lamps:
A non-working electric bulb can also be recycled into artificial oil lamp. Although we don’t use oil lamps anymore but this DIY project can be used for decoration purposes. Fill some colored oil/fluid into the bulb and insert a candle thread inside. The upside-down posture now looks like a unique oil lamp.
(3) Decoration Piece:
Recycled bulbs make a romantic and cute little decoration piece too. Cut a medium sized hole in the glass portion of the bulb. Add a base of colored soil/sand and put in a cute colorful flower. It has now become an enchantingly cute decoration piece.
(4) Christmas Tree Decorations:
The electric bulbs can be converted into hanging decorations for Christmas tree. Just wrap the bulbs in glittery wrapping papers and tie a ribbon on them.
(5) Hanging Flower Pots:
Add some water in the bulbs and hang them upside down with a couple of flowers in each bulb. This is an easy and innovative DIY recycling method for bulbs.
(6) Snow bowls/Fishing pots:
You can use larger bulbs as snow bowls or fishing pots after recycling them. Add some thermo-pole particles and put in some miniature stuff to create a snow bowl.
